In recent years, vehicle electrification has seen remarkable progress, due in part to environmental regulations on zero-emission vehicles. In addition to Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV), Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV), and Electric Vehicles (EV), Mild Hybrid Vehicle systems using 48 volt electricity are starting to appear.
Vehicle electrification systems will prove essential for meeting environmental regulations. In addition to the main electric powertrain components of electric motors and, inverters,we are developing other technologies to maximize eco-friendliness and driving performance.
Electric vehicle motors have the role of efficiently converting electrical energy into drive force, and a higher efficiency in energy conversion translates into extended driving distance. In addition to conventional concentrated winding technology, we have rectangular winding technologies for many varieties of electric vehicles. Electromagnetic modeling, material development, and cooling performance analysis are applied to create compact, lightweight, and high efficiency products. Additionally, we are further developing our unique low noise technologies for diverse types of electric vehicles
An inverter consists of a power module with an integrated power semiconductor, a control board, capacitors, and current sensors to convert energy contained in the battery into alternating current for the drive motor. Our power module utilizes a direct double-sided cooling structure for improved cooling performance to achieve a compact and high performance inverter. We will further develop this technology and aim for application to a diverse range of electric vehicles.
