Iida, Takahiro
Engineering
In 2011, I joined the research and development department of a major electronics manufacturer. I was primarily engaged in the research and development of in-vehicle software products, working on ADAS, autonomous driving-related software, inverters, and other technologies for major automotive manufacturers in Japan and Europe. In 2022, I joined Astemo, where I led initiatives related to multi-core software, powertrain control modules, high-performance ADAS, virtual development environments (engineering cloud), and next-generation ECUs. I then became a founding member of Cypremos, leading the engineering team.
At Cypremos, particularly in the in-vehicle domain, I am driving the development of a cloud-based POSIX-related development environment, which is an advanced initiative. This allows developers to work more efficiently and flexibly, enabling them to quickly adapt to the latest technologies. Additionally, I have launched efforts to streamline software development processes using generative AI, further enhancing our competitive edge.
In recent years, I have been promoting the development of an in-house Engineering Cloud and other sales strategies aimed at improving internal software development efficiency. In my most recent work, I have been actively involved in order activities to increase the business volume of cloud development environments for major automotive manufacturers. Through these initiatives, we aim to strengthen our competitiveness within the industry and achieve sustainable growth.
In the automotive industry, often described as undergoing a once-in-a-century transformation, I believe that a shift to a software development organization is essential for Cypremos' survival. The automotive sector is rapidly evolving due to technological innovations such as electrification, autonomous driving, and connected cars. In this environment, in order to maintain our competitiveness and achieve further growth, we must adopt new approaches that go beyond the traditional manufacturing model. To strengthen our position in the competitive landscape, it is necessary to establish a cloud-native organization backed by embedded software development culture. A cloud-native approach offers flexibility and scalability, enabling rapid development and deployment.
We aim to build an organization that can lead the development of mobility solutions worldwide by evolving traditional safety-critical system development through innovative software development practices. Our goal is to drive the evolution of society itself. A key focus is development speed, and by achieving industry-leading development capabilities, we aim to accelerate the evolution of the entire societal system centered around mobility at an overwhelming pace. Furthermore, by maximizing engineers' creativity, we can deliver value to users that goes beyond speed alone. Through this, we will play a key role in shaping a better future through technological innovation.
