Sales Engineer

Upon joining a major software development company as a new graduate, I primarily handled sales for large electronics manufacturers, automotive companies, and the automotive parts industry. In addition to building business systems, I was involved in product development support utilizing embedded software technologies, software quality verification support, and customer support services. Through these projects, I take pride in having made a significant contribution to Japan’s manufacturing industry. Based on these experiences, I developed a deep interest in the promising mobility sector, which led me to join Cypremos in 2025.

Responsibilities

I am responsible for sales and marketing to automotive manufacturers as part of the Sales Engineering Department. My role involves formulating hypotheses and developing sales strategies to commercialize the virtual engineering environment (Engineer Cloud), which serves as the foundation for Cypremos' business. This includes understanding market needs while driving the creation of new business opportunities. My sales approach focuses on proposing solutions that lead to solving customer challenges, ultimately securing business deals.

Challenges

The mobility sector is undergoing what is often described as a "once-in-a-century transformation." Particularly in the era of Software-Defined Vehicles (SDV), development speed is becoming crucial, and in order to continuously enhance the value of vehicles, a business model that supports ongoing evolution is necessary. This requires a transformation in the engineering domain. To achieve this, collaboration with partner companies, beyond relying solely on in-house services, is essential. A key role in sales is co-creating products that do not yet exist in the market. There is a culture here that encourages a proactive approach to tackling such new challenges.

Future Vision

The engineering cloud, which serves as the foundation of our business, is currently the primary offering of the Sales Engineering Department. However, our long-term goal is to expand our business beyond the mobility sector, eventually venturing into social services. To achieve this vision, it is essential for our sales team to adopt a mindset shift and stay informed about the latest market trends and technological advancements in order to drive the development of new business opportunities. I believe that if we approach this with the determination to shape the future, there is no more rewarding work than this.
