On May 21-22, the round 3 of the MFJ All Japan Road Race Championship Series was held at Autopolis in Oita Prefecture.
As this event was again held in conjunction with SUPER FORMULA, only the JSB1000 class was held with #27 Sakumoto riding from Astemo. In the Race 1 final, he started at 14th and made a bold attack to move up to 4th, But overran on the last lap and finished 6th. In the Race 2 final, he started 12th and displayed outstanding speed to finish at 5th place!
