In the opening round of the 2024 FIM Asia Road Racing Championship (AARC) season, held at the Chang International Circuit (Thailand) on March 16-17, our sponsored teams saw a strong start.
Hitachi Astemo continued its sponsorship of Honda Asia-Dream Racing with Astemo, and Astemo SI Racing with Thai Honda this year.
In Race 1, Andi Farid Izdihar (Honda Asia-Dream Racing with Astemo), who was 3rd in last year's series, finished 2nd and 1st in Race 2 to finish on the podium from the opening round.
Teammate Zaqhwan Zaidi finished 3rd in Race 1 and 6th in Race 2, while Nakarin Atiratphuvapat had a good start to the season, finishing 5th in Race 1 and 3rd in Race 2. Making his return from injury last season, Passawit Thitivararak (Astemo SI Racing with Thai Honda) finished 11th in Race 2.
