J-GP3 class riders take on Tsukuba for first time in a challenging race

On June 16, the 4th round of MFJ All Japan Road Race was held only for the J-GP3 class at Tsukuba Circuit in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan, with Astemo Honda Dream SI Racing riders Burupa Wanmoon and Thanachat Pratumtong participating. This was the first race for both riders at the tight track.
Although there were concerns about the impact of the monsoon season, the rain that fell in the morning of the race day cleared up by the qualifying round, and in dry conditions Burupa qualified at 16th and Thanachat at 21st place.
Amidst the intense heat in the final race, Burupa got a good start and improved two positions to 14th on the opening lap, while Thanachat improved three positions to 18th. In the crowded field, Burupa and Thanachat lapped in the 2nd and 3rd place groups, respectively, but Burupa struggled with braking while battling the competition and finished 16th. Thanachat followed behind him, taking the checkered flag in 17th place.
Both riders will take this experience as a step to improve their riding, and we look forward to the next round.
