Tokyo, December 2, 2014 ---Hitachi Automotive Systems (China) Ltd., the regional headquarters for China (Chairman: Kunihiko Ohnuma, and President: Kazumasa Kinguchi, hereinafter Hitachi Automotive Systems (China)), a group company of Hitachi Automotive Systems, Ltd. (President and COO: Hiroshi Sato, hereinafter Hitachi Automotive Systems), today announced that they will be participating in Automechanika Shanghai 2014, which will be held from Tuesday, December 9 to Friday, December 12 at Shanghai New International Expo Center in Shanghai, China. During the exhibition, Hitachi Automotive Systems will exhibit its wide range of aftermarket products and technology.
China is the world's largest market for vehicles, and with the sales volume of vehicles continuously growing, there is an anticipated increase in demand for aftermarket products.
Since 1930, the technological capabilities that Hitachi Automotive Systems has accumulated over many years in the automotive components industry are being utilized to develop aftermarket products, such as air flow sensors and high-pressure pumps in the environmental field, and shock absorbers and brake pads in the safety field, which are marketed widely on a global scale.
In order to further strengthen the aftermarket operating base in China, the Hitachi Automotive Systems Group will discover potential customers and expand sales. To promote this business, it is important for Hitachi Automotive Systems with proven results in the automotive components industry to increase brand awareness, and establish a presence by exhibiting in China's biggest aftermarket product international trade fair, "Automechanika Shanghai 2014." In addition to Japanese vehicles, aftermarket products for European vehicles which are popular in China will be exhibited, making an appeal for Hitachi Automotive Systems Group products.
Hitachi Automotive Systems (China) will be exhibiting at booth number W2-D01 in this exhibition, and including products of group company HUECO Automotive GmbH (headquarters in Espelkamp, Germany, Managing Director: Christian Westerkamp) which is expanding the automobile repair product business, it will be introducing an extensive lineup of aftermarket products being offered by the Hitachi Automotive Systems Group.
