Tokyo, September 10, 2018 —Hitachi Automotive Systems, Ltd. and its Group Company Hitachi Automotive Systems Espelkamp GmbH—which specializes in supplying automotive spare parts to the European market-- today announced that they will exhibit the Hitachi Automotive Systems Group's wide range of aftermarket products and technologies at Automechanika Frankfurt 2018. This year, the trade fair for aftermarket products will take place at Messe Frankfurt in Frankfurt, Germany, from September 11 (Tuesday) to September 15 (Saturday). Hitachi Automotive Systems Espelkamp first exhibited at the biennial Automechanika Frankfurt in 1980, and this year will mark its 20th year of participation in the event.

Europe is the birthplace of the automotive industry and demand for automobiles there has been steadily increasing, with annual sales now exceeding 20 million units per year for the last two years. As such, demand for aftermarket products—both for replacement and repairs—is also expected to rise. Utilizing the technological capabilities it has nurtured over approximately 90 years in the automotive components business, Hitachi Automotive Systems has been strengthening its aftermarket product operations, and it supplies a wide variety of aftermarket products—including engine components such as air flow sensors and high pressure fuel pumps, and safety system components such as shock absorbers and brake pads—to markets across the world.

At Automechanika Frankfurt 2018, Hitachi Automotive Systems Espelkamp will host a booth at stand number E-60 in Hall 3. The company will exhibit exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valves, which adjust engine exhaust gas flow rates, exhaust gas temperature monitors, which continually monitor exhaust gas temperatures, and other exhaust system components, for which there is high demand in the European market for aftermarket products. In this way, Hitachi Automotive Systems Espelkamp will promote the Hitachi Automotive Systems Group's aftermarket products, including products from its own HÜCO brand.
