Tokyo, May 18, 2022 – Hitachi Astemo, Ltd. (President & CEO: Brice Koch) will exhibit at the Automotive Engineering Exposition 2022, held from Wednesday, May 25 through to Friday, May 27 at PACIFICO Yokohama (Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture). Hitachi Astemo (booth number 78) will showcase advanced technologies and mobility solutions integral to next-generation vehicles, which contribute to realizing a sustainable and decarbonized society.
The exhibit will display Astemo’s pioneering electric powertrain system technologies that include an EV*1 prototype mounted with an in-wheel motor, which integrates the inverter and brake into a single unit; and a compact, energy-efficient, slim-type inverter. The booth will also feature one of the building blocks of Hitachi’s autonomous driving concept: Astemo’s AD/ADAS*2 system, including a stereo camera that can detect free space with high precision using 3D recognition technology and an AD ECU that can perform AI processing at low power consumption, to further promote safe and comfortable mobility.
Other notable technologies on display include advanced chassis technologies, such as a next-generation power steering product that uses biomass materials, and other electrification and chassis control technologies that will support the creation of next-generation motorcycles.
