Tokyo, December 12, 2022 --- Hitachi Astemo, Ltd. (President&CEO: Brice Koch; henceforth, Hitachi Astemo) announced it will continue sponsoring REAL RACING, a competitor in the four-wheel GT500 class of SUPER GT, and SI Racing, a competitor in the two-wheel MFJ All Japan Road Race Championship series, for the 2023 season.
Astemo REAL RACING, which competes in the GT500 class of the SUPER GT, will be aiming for the series championship in its second year with Koudai Tsukakoshi, a 15-year veteran in the series, and Nobuharu Matsushita, who achieved much success in Japan and overseas.
Astemo Honda Dream SI Racing is aiming for its third consecutive victory in the MFJ All Japan Road Race Championship series with Kazuma Watanabe, who won the second series championship this year and will continue competing in the ST1000 class riding with the number 1. In the JSB1000 class, the top category in Japan, we will continue to compete with Kosuke Sakumoto next season, aiming to win the series championship. In addition, we plan to participate in the FIM Asia Road Racing Championship next season to promote the development of young riders in Asia.
Our aim is to win the series championships in all the classes in which we are competing.
Moving forward, Hitachi Astemo will continue to use its sponsorship of motorsports, including SUPER GT and MFJ All Japan Road Race Championship series, to further grow the Hitachi Astemo brand and contribute to the promotion of motorsports.
