Tokyo, October 25, 2024 – Hitachi Astemo, Ltd. (hereafter “Astemo”) aims to achieve carbon neutrality by FY2030. In FY2023, benefiting from the installation of solar power generators, CO2 emissions from factories and offices totaled 871,000 tons representing a reduction of approximately 31% from FY2010 CO2 emissions of 1,254,000 tons. This figure comprises the total FY2010 CO2 emissions of the four companies that merged in January 2021 to form Astemo: Hitachi Automotive Systems, Keihin, Showa, and Nisshin Kogyo.
In addition to further promoting the use of renewable energy and energy conservation, Astemo will contribute to the reduction of environmental impact through the expansion of its electrified products and other businesses.
