Carburetors for motorcycles

  • With the completion of plant facilities, began processing and repair of automobile parts
  • Completed prototype motorcycle carburetor
  • Used in Honda Motors' "Dream" and Fuji Heavy Industries' "Rabbit"

  • Keihin Sogyo Co., Ltd. established in Kakuda City, Miyagi Prefecture
  • Keihin of America, Inc. (now Keihin Fuel Systems, Inc.) established in the United States
  • Plant completed in Kakuda City, Miyagi Prefecture (now Kakuda Plant 3)
  • Fuel injection device (injector) commercialized, supplied to Honda Motor Co., Ltd.
  • Marumori Plant begins operations in Marumori City, Miyagi Prefecture
  • Developed the injector and electronic control unit for automotives
