- Hitachi Ltd. advances into domestic production of automotive electric parts.

- Manufactures Japan's first impeller-type Lever Arm Shock Absorbers.

1935 |
- Manufactures Japan's first Brake Cylinders and begins full-scale production.

1936 |
- Delivered sample electric parts to Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. and Toyota Motor Corporation.

1937 |
- Commences deliveries of cylindrical twin-tube Shock Absorbers.
- The Measurement Equipment Division of Tokyo Gas Electric Industry, Ltd. is spun off to form Tokyo Kiki Kogyo, Ltd.

- Tokyo Kiki Kogyo, Ltd. becomes a subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd. after all shares held by Tokyo Gas Electric Industry, Ltd. are purchased.

- Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. Atsugi Plant is spun off to form Atsugi Automotive Parts.
- Produces Pistons, Water Pumps, Propeller Shafts, Clutches, etc.

- Hitachi Ltd. establishes the Automotive Products Division.

1965 |
- Tokyo Kiki Kogyo Ltd. changes its company name to TOKICO, Ltd.

- The Sawa Works is established in Hitachinaka-shi, Ibaraki, Japan.

1970 |
- Produced first IC-regulator-integrated alternators.

1973 |
- Nihon Denshi Kiki Co., Ltd. is established.

1978 |
- Produced the first electronic-control carburetors in Japan.

- Produces world's first Electronic Concentrated Engine Control Units.

1980 |
- Produced the world's first photoelectric crank angle sensors and semiconductor pressure sensors.

- Produces world's first Hot-wire Air Flow Sensors.
- Produced the world's first turbo chargers for rotary engines.

- Received "IR100" Award in the year 1984 (100 selections of new technologies in the world) for the hot-wire airflow sensor.
- Hitachi Automotive Products (USA), Inc. is established in Kentucky, USA.

- The Hitachi Farmington Hills Technical Center is established in Michigan, USA.
