2010
  • Hanshin Electric Co., Ltd. becomes a consolidated subsidiary.
  • Initiates mass production of Electrically-assisted Actuation Brake Systems.
2011
  • Establishes Hitachi Automotive Systems (China) Ltd. as a regional headquarter for the Automotive Systems Business in China.
  • Hitachi Automotive Systems Americas, Inc. establishes Berea Motor Plant for manufacuturing HEV motors in Berea, Kentucky, U.S.A.
  • Regional Headquarters (RHQs) are established in four overseas regions: the Americas, Europe, China, and Asia.
2012
  • Establishes Hitachi Automotive (Guangzhou) Ltd. in Guangzhou, Guangdong China as R&D, design and manufacturing base.
  • Hitachi Automotive Systems Europe GmbH acquires all shares of Germany-based HUECO Automotive GmbH in order to strengthen its aftermarket products business in the European Market.
  • Establishes Hitachi Highly Automotive Systems (Shanghai) Ltd. in Shanghai, China.
  • Establishes HITACHI AUTOMOTIVE SYSTEMS (INDIA) PRIVATE LIMITED in India.
  • UNISIA MEXICANA, S.A. de C.V. establishes 2nd plant in Lerma, Mexico for manufacuturing ignition equipment.
  • Establishes Hitachi Automotive Systems Queretaro, S.A. de C.V. in Queretaro, Mexico.
  • Acquires all shares of Germany-based HUECO Automotive GmbH strengthen its aftermarket products business in the European Market.

2013
  • Transferres the CIS Division to the Information & Telecommunication Systems Company of Hitachi, to drive expansion and growth of the CIS business within Hitachi group.
2014
  • Hitachi Automotive Systems Mexico begins the construction of a new plant in Lerma City, Mexico to manufacture automotive systems.
  • Deliveres anti-seismic oil dampers for Asahi Kasei Homes Corporation's "Hebel Haus™ FREX", three storied house with heavy gauge steel structure.
  • Establishes PT Hitachi Automotive Systems Indonesia in the Republic of Indonesia.
2015
  • Developes semi-active suspension electronic control technology that reduces both vibration and position changes during driving by approx. 10 %.
  • Wins "Ultra Monozukuri Excellence prize: automotive component grand award" for environment-conscious car traction inverter.
  • Hitachi Automotive Systems Mexico, S.A. de C.V., merges Hitachi Automotive Systems Queretaro, S.A. de C.V. in Mexico.
  • Commences testing at "Mcity", a North American project for testing autonomous and connected cars in a simulated urban environment.
  • Developes inverter for eco-friendly cars that applied a double-sided-cooling full-SiC power module.
  • Developes basic technology for preventing collisions by predicting changes in pedestrian movement, aiming to commercialize autonomous driving on local roads.
2016
  • Conducts verification test drive for an Autonomous Driving System on a public road in Ibaraki, Japan.

  • Develops world's smallest class 77GHz millimeter-wave radar as a long-range, forward-direction Sensor for autonomous driving.
  • Establishes Hitachi Automotive Electric Motor Systems (Guangzhou), Ltd. in China for the electric vehicle motor business.
2018
  • Conducts autonomous driving system verification test drive on ordinary roads in Ibaraki, Japan.
2019
  • Clarion, Hitachi Vehicle Energy, Hitachi Automotive Systems Measurement and Commercial Vehicle Steering Business are transferred.
  • Acquires Chassis Brakes International, aiming to create a platform for advanced safety system.
  • Announces management integration with Keihin, Showa and Nissin, aiming to be a new global mega supplier providing competitive solutions.
2020
  • Acquires seneos GmbH to reinforce front-end engineering capabilities.
  • Establishes new company for electric vehicle motors, Hitachi Automotive Electric Motor Systems America, Inc.
  • Obtains permission from the competition authorities of relevant countries to file for business integration with Keihin, Showa and Nissin. Based on this, Honda Motor conducts the tender offer for shares in 3 companies.
